Help build Croydon’s first fully accessible rehabilitation centre with hydrotherapy pool
Continuing Community Care (CCC) is a Croydon-based registered charity providing affordable, structured aquatic rehabilitation and exercise for people living with pain, disability, reduced mobility and long-term health conditions.
We plan to build Croydon’s first fully accessible Community Rehabilitation & Wellbeing Centre, centred on a purpose-built hydrotherapy pool and supported by rehabilitation, exercise and treatment spaces.
We are seeking transformational corporate contributions of £50,000 and above. Major support at this level would accelerate the professional work, capital preparation and facility development needed to turn an established community service into permanent health infrastructure for Croydon.

The Vision
CCC intends to develop a fully accessible Community Rehabilitation & Wellbeing Centre serving Croydon and surrounding communities.
The centre will combine a dedicated hydrotherapy pool with fully accessible rehabilitation, exercise and treatment facilities.
Our planned centre includes:
- A fully accessible 10m x 8m hydrotherapy pool.
- Accessible changing rooms, showers and toilets.
- Ceiling hoist and appropriate transfer equipment.
- A gym and rehabilitation area.
- Treatment and recovery rooms.
- A six-person sauna and four-person jacuzzi, subject to final design and feasibility.
- Office, reception and welcoming community space.
- Accessible parking bays.
The Reason
Accessible community rehabilitation is difficult to obtain.
Residents can face long waits, high private costs and very limited access to specialist warm-water facilities. At the same time, more people are living longer with disability, chronic pain, musculoskeletal problems and reduced mobility.
Our current service has improved the lives of so many and we strive to widen and future proof our services.
We aim to offer:
- Affordable rehabilitation after hospital or clinical treatment has ended.
- Ongoing support for people whose conditions require long-term management rather than a short course of care.
- Safe, supported movement for people who struggle to exercise on land.
- A community environment that reduces isolation and sustains motivation.
- A pathway to greater strength, confidence and independence.
Corporate Partnership
CCC has proven its services and built recurring income.
The next stage requires capital, professional expertise and long-term partners.
A contribution of £50,000 or more can move the project beyond day-to-day fundraising and fund a substantial, defined part of the journey towards a permanent centre.
Potential uses of major funding would be:
- Site surveys, feasibility work and technical investigations.
- Architectural, design, planning and professional fees.
- Legal and property costs connected with securing a site or asset.
- Capital works, pool infrastructure and accessibility adaptations.
- Specialist equipment, including hoists and rehabilitation equipment.
- Project management, fundraising capacity and delivery preparation.
- A restricted project reserve or matched-funding contribution for a larger capital application.
Every major gift would be governed by a written agreement setting out whether it is unrestricted or restricted to an agreed workstream. CCC would report against the agreed purpose, milestones and expenditure.
Partnership principles
CCC will only enter partnerships that protect client dignity, charity independence and public trust.
Recognition and engagement will be proportionate, transparent and consistent with the charity’s values and legal duties.
Corporate due diligence will be completed before a partnership is accepted.
More than a donation
We are looking for organisations willing to become serious partners in building lasting community health infrastructure. Financial support is central, but access to property, construction, professional services, equipment, technology and influential networks could also materially accelerate the project.
